Metanexus seeks an exceptional leader with broad intellectual interests and organizational talents. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent training in the sciences or humanities, strong written and verbal communications, an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent organizing skills including abilities to strategically plan and effectively implement projects, and an ability to work collaboratively with staff, the board, and outside partners.
History and Purpose of Metanexus
Founded in 1998 as a think tank, Metanexus established international headquarters in metropolitan Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that year. As a globally recognized organization, the Metanexus Institute is dedicated to fostering constructive dialogue on scientific and religious perspectives in pursuit of communal wisdom. Symposia, conventions, lectures and workshops have been conducted from India to Germany in the interests of engaging scholars, scientists, religious leaders and business professionals in an exchange of ideas and cultivating a network of collaborators to partner in innovative projects and cutting edge research.
Our staff is dedicated to promoting communications and collaboration among diverse inter-cultural, religious and scientific groups worldwide. An extensive schedule of annual conferences, international, regional and local meetings, retreats and panels are planned and managed by headquarters staff as well as thought provoking treatises shared on-line with our membership.
Application Process
The Executive Director must work to strengthen and diversify the fund-raising operations and results. The Executive Director will supervise a small and dedicated staff with the support of the Institute’s Governing and Academic Boards.
